December 2011 and January 2012 concerts!

Wow, it's almost the end of another year. It has been a wonderful year, packed with many trips abroad for concerts, competitions and even  a holiday, with more teaching and recording too! I'm now looking forward to the end of the year concerts of Britten's Ceremony of Carols, Anthony Bolton's 'A Garland of Carols', a school concert sponsored by Bow Brand strings and getting married too, just before Christmas!

In the new year I will be composing more of the music for my new project - harp, guitar (Alan Thomas) and hiphop dancer (Lizzie Gough)  as we have three shows together in Grantham, Stamford and Leicester. These are called Elusive Symmetry and for the first time ever I will be sampling electronic and natural sounds and using a drum machine!

Over the next two months, here are my concerts:

December 5th 'A Ceremony of Carols' by Benjamin Britten at Gresham's School in Norfolk

December 18th 'A Garland of Carols' by Anthony Bolton, conducted by Fergus Black

December 20th (Tues) at Stamford School Hall, 'A Ceremony of Carols' by Britten with Stamford Choral Society

January 14th 2012 at South Holland Centre, Spalding. 4 Girls 4 Harps perform their new programme, including works by De Falla and Piazzolla.

January 15th 2012 at Holywell Music Room, Holywell Street, Oxford. 4 Girls 4 Harps perform a special 3pm concert celebrating all they've achieved over the past ten years, commissioning new music for harp quartet and transcribing better known classics by Ravel and Saint-Saens.

January 24th 2012 At Wells Cathedral School with Lisa Nelsen (flute) performing a concert and giving a flute and harp masterclass.

I'll update soon with news of February's concerts with Alan Thomas and the show, Elusive Symmetry, with Lizzie Gough!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
